Nvidia Is Acquiring Groq for $20B

The $20 billion Groq acquisition dwarfs Nvidia’s previous record with AI chip startup Groq in an all-cash deal. The deal excludes Groq’s cloud business but includes all chip assets. The company was founded by creators of Google’s tensor processing unit, or TPU, which competes with Nvidia for artificial intelligence workloads.
